The 2016 Presidential election is a referendum on the American people. The proposal put before the electorate this year asks, "Do you want the United States of America to be the Constitutional Republic it was designed to be, or do you want our nation to continue to be fundamentally transformed into a Democratic Socialist State?"
In the general election of 2012, voters had the opportunity to reject the usurpation of power by Barack Obama, who had firmly established his commitment to replace democratic representation with dictatorial pronouncements that flagrantly violate the Constitution in order to further his Marxist agenda. Instead, with the generous help of Democrat voter fraud, our nation's citizens willingly extended Obama's subversive reign.
I nearly wept with shame over this populist act of treason. I concluded that the re-election of a representative so antithetical to our founding principles was a direct result of the widespread depth of civic ignorance. How could voters know that the "Affordable Care Act" was an explicit violation of the Commerce Clause, and 9th and 10th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution? Our citizens have little, if any, knowledge of the contents of our founding document, especially after decades of political and pedagogical Progressives steadily shifting the Overton Window leftward. Proof of this rampant Leftism is demonstrated by the hordes of Democrats supporting an avowed Socialist for President!
Years of hearing Liberals pronounce outright lies with straight faces have numbed Americans to deception, because we are no longer grounded in the principles of Truth. When populist leaders say, "I never had sex with that woman", or "The Benghazi attack was caused by a hateful video", or "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, and your health insurance premiums will go down, and 30 million Americans will finally have health-care insurance", or "Unemployment is under 6%" (because we've decided to stop counting the long-term jobless!), or the inability to declare Radical Islam as our terrorist enemy, all without consistent and concerted voices of rebuttal and rebuke from a majority of the citizenry, Establishment or media - what can we expect?
I understand the visceral reponse to years of unconstitutional actions by our government representatives. Many Americans think that the outright rejection of political remedies could be our only solution. Sadly, the cult following of corporate mogul Donald Trump is just another symptom of civic ignorance. Trump supporters are willing to exchange the crony capitalism of current governmental oligarchs for a candidate who promises just another form of Plutocracy, instead of restoring our founding principles of Limited Government and Individual Liberty.
2016 is a watershed year. This election will determine whether a remnant of Patriots remain that will save our Constitutional Republic. The only Presidential candidate offering hope to restore our foundations of freedom is Ted Cruz.
Do not ask for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for We the People.

Will We Keep It?
What do the years 1787 and 2017 have in common?
On September 17, 1787, our nation's Founders, Framers, and colonies' governors gave us a Constitutional Republic. They fought a bloody seven year war to gain independence from British rule, fighting the Redcoats again in 1812 in their challenge to our newfound freedom.
The first-generation United States' citizens firmly rejected Monarchy, Theocracy, Anarchy, Democracy, Socialism, Communism, Totalitarianism and Oligarchy to establish a Constitutional Republic (a representative form of government founded on the rule of just law, commissioned by the consent of the governed).
Today, we have an avowed Socialist, a lying Democrat unable to define the difference between Democracy and Socialism (because there is none), an egotistical Oligarch, Republican Elitists, and one Conservative Constitutionalist who has spent his career fighting the Establishment in Washington, D.C. to preserve, protect, and defend the Rule of Law in our frail Republic.
If Ted Cruz is not inaugurated on January 20, 2017, our nation will either continue to be fundamentally transformed into Marxism, or take the radical Left turn directly onto the highway to Totalitarianism.
We are in the midst of the Second American Revolution. Will we fight for Liberty, or willingly trade it for the illusion of Security, proving ourselves unworthy of either?
"Liberty, once lost, is lost forever." - John Adams
Do you really want to tell your children and grandchildren that we were the generation that failed to keep our Republic?
I don't.

Because the Constitution
Why have I endorsed Ted Cruz from the beginning of his campaign? Because we have a Constitution and we need to use it.
When Obama was elected in 2008, I was stunned. How could We the People have willingly invited a virtual unknown with the middle name of Hussein into our White House? (And no, my discomfort had nothing to do with his color.)
When he was re-elected after 4 years of division and economic and geopolitical disaster, I was heartbroken. The citizens of a Constitutional Republic had re-elected a man who was making good on his promise to "fundamentally" transform our nation. The President of the United States had made it abundantly clear that he had no respect for our Rule of Law, yet the People had chosen him again! That's when I realized that we were losing our Republic. Not because of Barack Hussein Obama, but because We the People were failing in our duty to protect, preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States.
The President, and every other representative work for US! How can we expect them to fulfill their oath of office if We the People don't even know what our employees are supposed to be doing? After a few months, when the shock, disappointment and depression started to wear off, I made a commitment. The only way we could hope to save our Constitutional Republic was to teach the next generation what they were at risk of losing. So, since 2012, I have spent every other year teaching 5th and 6th graders about Our Nation's Foundations - the Constitutional Principles of our Republic. I turn the Learning Center of the Intermediate School where I work as a paraprofessional Librarian, into an Americana museum. Every class comes to the Library every other week. I give them a lesson about Our Nation's Foundations as I "build" a giant meme on the wall, describing the Constitutional Principles of our government that looks like a Federal building. I have 4 interactive bulletin boards for students to interact with factual and opinion questions for prizes. I've recently added QR codes to my displays so that students can use iPads to activate relevant multimedia websites that offer more information. I've already started covering the Library windows that face the main hall with graphics and current events about the Democratic and Republican candidates for the 2016 Presidential election. Students have no idea which candidate or political party I prefer, but I reward them for sharing their own opinions because I want them to become confident in using their First Amendment rights, secure in the knowledge that opinions, by their very nature cannot be wrong, and disagreement need not cause offense. I make a big deal when a student shares his/her opinion on government or politics, bestowing upon them the title of Patriot. I want them to realize what a profound responsibility and privilege they have to preserve, protect and defend their Constitutional Republic.
After the election, I will tell my students my choice for President - Ted Cruz. Because he is the candidate that knows our Constitution by heart and consults our Rule of Law for every decision, without compromise.
