Death Knell of a Nation

The 2016 Presidential election is a referendum on the American people.  The proposal put before the electorate this year asks, "Do you want the United States of America to be the Constitutional Republic it was designed to be, or do you want our nation to continue to be fundamentally transformed into a Democratic Socialist State?"

In the general election of 2012, voters had the opportunity to reject the usurpation of power by Barack Obama, who had firmly established his commitment to replace democratic representation with dictatorial pronouncements that flagrantly violate the Constitution in order to further his Marxist agenda. Instead, with the generous help of Democrat voter fraud, our nation's citizens willingly extended Obama's subversive reign.

I nearly wept with shame over this populist act of treason. I concluded that the re-election of a representative so antithetical to our founding principles was a direct result of the widespread depth of civic ignorance. How could voters know that the "Affordable Care Act" was an explicit violation of the Commerce Clause, and 9th and 10th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution? Our citizens have little, if any, knowledge of the contents of our founding document, especially after decades of political and pedagogical Progressives steadily shifting the Overton Window leftward. Proof of this rampant Leftism is demonstrated by the hordes of Democrats supporting an avowed Socialist for President!

Years of hearing Liberals pronounce outright lies with straight faces have numbed Americans to deception, because we are no longer grounded in the principles of Truth. When populist leaders say, "I never had sex with that woman", or "The Benghazi attack was caused by a hateful video", or "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, and your health insurance premiums will go down, and 30 million Americans will finally have health-care insurance", or "Unemployment is under 6%" (because we've decided to stop counting the long-term jobless!), or the inability to declare Radical Islam as our terrorist enemy, all without consistent and concerted voices of rebuttal and rebuke from a majority of the citizenry, Establishment or media - what can we expect?

I understand the visceral reponse to years of unconstitutional actions by our government representatives. Many Americans think that the outright rejection of political remedies could be our only solution. Sadly, the cult following of corporate mogul Donald Trump is just another symptom of civic ignorance.  Trump supporters are willing to exchange the crony capitalism of current governmental oligarchs for a candidate who promises just another form of Plutocracy, instead of restoring our founding principles of Limited Government and Individual Liberty.

2016 is a watershed year. This election will determine whether a remnant of Patriots remain that will save our Constitutional Republic. The only Presidential candidate offering hope to restore our foundations of freedom is Ted Cruz.

Do not ask for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for We the People.
